What are the things we all want for our sons in a school?

A safe place where people are kind, considerate and capable, and where a boy can start his school life happily and make his early friends with confidence. A place of fun and success, to remember with warmth. All these things of course. But more, we want too somewhere that will provide an excellent early education and teachers who impart knowledge with flair and who challenge the mind and the imagination. We look for somewhere where individuals flourish and achieve both creative expression and cheerful teamwork.

It is impossible for teachers to teach and for children to learn without happiness in the core of their being. For happiness, borne of compassion and love, lends the elasticity to give, receive, explore, adventure, take risk and thus grow up and out into the world with confidence.

That belief lies at the heart of Hawkesdown House and makes it what it is today.
